Boisdale Restaurants and Waverton Investment Management are delighted to announce the 2024 winner of the Waverton Art Prize, an esteemed platform celebrating emerging artistic talent. With a substantial prize of £10,000, the award provides the winning artist the opportunity to invest time and resources into advancing their creative
practice.

The winner will be announced at a prestigious launch event on May 22, 2024, at Boisdale of
Canary Wharf.

Founded in 2022 by Waverton, Boisdale's owner Ranald Macdonald, and Mark Connolly, founder and director of Paint Talk, the Waverton Art Prize has quickly become a beacon for discovering and nurturing new artistic talent. The inaugural prize was awarded to Rae Hicks, selected by esteemed artist Stuart Pearson Wright.

"The Waverton Art Prize is a testament to our commitment to supporting the arts and providing a platform for emerging artists to flourish," said Ranald Macdonald owner of Boisdale. "We are excited to see the incredible talent that this year's submissions will bring and to offer the winning artist the means to further develop their craft."

The prize is open to all artists working in 2D media, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, collage, textiles, and digital print. Artists at any stage of their career were encouraged to apply. This year's panel of judges includes prominent figures in the art world: Mark Connolly, Olivia Sterling, Lowri Harries, and Sebastian Dovey.
